  2. Choose appropriate books for your setting
  3. How to best read books to young children
  4. Choosing  and developing props to pair with books
  5. Facilitate story retelling

Ensure your device is able to run Zoom and become familiar with zoom (tutorial links further down this email) ensure your computer is enabled with audio & video capabilities before the start of the event. The Zoom link and handouts will be sent in your confirmation email. 

You are expected to participate the entire session across to receive credit (certificate) for attending. 

Participation includes:

1. Enabling your video so that we can see one another & you can react/respond to discussion & questions

2. Enabling your audio, ensure both your speakers and microphone work. Please stay muted unless you are speaking.

3. Respond in the chat box upon request (it is recorded for reference when participation is in question)

4. Participate in break out discussions in small groups

5. Let the instructor know when you need clarification or have questions

6. Be logged on and ready with all computer functions tested & working properly, writing utensil & notepaper, and ready with handouts open on your computer or printed BEFORE the start of your scheduled session

7. Participate and stay in the session through the end
